Image Quality: Images should be of the highest quality possible, with sufficient resolution to ensure clarity and detail. Images must be free from artifacts, distortion, and other issues that could compromise their interpretability. Authors should provide images in their original format whenever possible and avoid excessive manipulation.
Image Manipulation: While some adjustments to images are acceptable, such as brightness and contrast adjustments, cropping, or color balance corrections, any manipulations must not alter the scientific meaning of the image. Unacceptable manipulations include, but are not limited to; adding or removing features within an image, altering specific parts of an image to mislead or falsify results, adjusting images in a way that affects the accuracy of the data presented. Any detected manipulation that violates these guidelines may lead to rejection of the manuscript or retraction of the published article.
